BIG DAY!

The Café Cristina / Las Brisas Nature Reserve Team is only a few hours away from beginning their first Big Day: 24 hours of birding to identify as many species possible! We are starting Sunday, 12 October at 00:00 on the slopes of Turrialba Volcano above 2600m (8,500ft). The team members Ela Villanueva, Julio Madriz, Donald Jiménez and Ernesto Carman will keep us posted on their progress!

The team's goal is to raise funds for their on going Unspotted Saw-whet Owl (Aegolius ridgwayi) research in Costa Rica.

El equipo Café Cristina / Las Brisas Nature Reserve está a pocas horas de iniciar su primer Big Day: 24 horas de observación de aves intentando identificar la mayor cantidad de especies posible! Empezaremos el Domingo 12 de Octubre a las 00:00 en las faldas del Volcán Turrialba a 2600m. Los miembros del equipo Ela Villanueva, Julio Madriz, Donald Jiménez y Ernesto Carman nos mantendrán informados sobre su progreso!

El objetivo del equipo es recaudar fondos para su proyecto de investigación sobre la Lechucita Parda (Aegolius ridgwayi) en Costa Rica.
